Park Sutton Advisors, LLC (“Park Sutton” or “PSA” or “the Company”), based in New York, NY, is a premier boutique investment banking firm providing comprehensive advisory and transaction execution services to wealth and asset managers, broker-dealers, fund administrators, registered investment advisors and other financial institutions and investors. Park Sutton is a registered broker-dealer under the oversight of the SEC and FINRA. PSA was launched in 2008 by Steven M. Levitt. The Company’s client-centric model led to rapid growth and an established market presence, particularly after 2018. PSA had over 15 professionals and closed 25 deals in 2021.
Situation
After successfully scaling the business and producing record years in 2020 and 2021, Mr. Levitt saw PSA at a pivotal junction of its parabolic growth. He sought a partnership with a trusted, compatible and resourceful party to sustain its accelerated growth aspirations, realize liquidity of his equity interests and participate in the future growth of the business that he has built for the past 15 years.
Solution
Park Sutton Advisors, LLC selected and engaged Griffin as its exclusive investment banker to solicit interest from potential partners. Griffin worked with Park Sutton to identify and approach a targeted group of potential partners. After Griffin managed a competitive process that generated multiple proposals, the Company ultimately chose to partner with Waller Helms Advisors, an investment bank based in Chicago, IL. Waller Helms Advisors has extensive experience in the insurance, wealth management, health care and financial technology sectors. Mr. Levitt and other top management from PSA will remain with the newly acquired firm post transaction.
